CB550/CB650 BIG BORE INSTRUCTIONS
User paulages breaks down the similarities between the CB550 DOCH4 and the CB650 DOCH4. A 650 crank can be mated to the cb550 bottom end with minimal machining. To do a big bore on a 650 bottom end you will need cb750 cylinder liners, cb750 pistons, rings, custom head gasket, and standard gasket plus o-rings. The cylinders and top case will both have to be bored out to fit the oversized liners. The new liners will have to be machined to the same height and taper at the bottom as the stock ones. 69.7 BHP and 41# of torque. Quite the increase from stock.
