Description
This carburetor serves as the stock replacement for the DRZ350. When you purchase it for a 350, only the carburetor is included.
If your DR350 has the CV carb with a diaphragm slide, you will need to acquire the air box rubber boot specifically for this carb from Suzuki.
The Mikuni TM33 carb features an inlet diameter of 50mm, which is significantly smaller than the CV carb, making it incompatible for direct installation of the rubber boot as it will not clamp down properly. The stock CV throttle cables should connect directly to this carb.
For the DR250, the kit comes with a new pilot and main jet that must be installed.
If you are replacing the DRZ250 28mm mechanical pumper carb, be advised that the throttle cables will be too short. It is necessary to remove and swap your cable bracket, rotor, and shaft. To replace the rotor and shaft, remove the carburetor top, unscrew the throttle valve arm screw, and carefully slide out the shaft while the rotor remains in position. You can then insert it back into the new carburetor.
Should your DR250 have the CV carb with a diaphragm slide, you again need to order the DRZ250/350 air box rubber boot from Suzuki, as mentioned earlier. The Mikuni TM33 carb's inlet diameter is 50mm, and the CV carb is larger; thus, the rubber boot will not properly secure. Your stock CV throttle cables will fit this carb without modifications.
