Upgrade your Norton with a Genuine Mikuni VM34 round-slide carburetor conversion kit. Designed to improve starting, throttle response, idle quality, and overall rideability, this kit replaces the original Amal carburetor setup with a modern Mikuni carburetor featuring proven performance and long-term reliability.

The Mikuni VM series incorporates a heavy-duty, hard-chrome-plated bronze slide designed for excellent wear resistance and consistent operation over years of service. Say goodbye to many of the common problems associated with aging Amal carburetors, including hard starting, inconsistent idle, hesitation, flat spots, and premature slide wear.

The Mikuni VM34 is easy to install and provides an immediate improvement in throttle response and overall engine performance when properly configured.

Kit Includes

• Genuine Mikuni VM34 round-slide carburetor
• Upgraded alloy 2-into-1 intake manifold
• Manifold mounting hardware and gaskets
• Nylon-lined throttle cable with 70-degree lower-end fitting
• Pod-style air filter
• Mikuni jet assortment for tuning and calibration

The upgraded alloy intake manifold features a reinforced mounting design to accommodate the heavier carburetor mounting flange.

Fuel Connection: The Mikuni VM34 uses an 8mm (5/16") fuel inlet. Fuel line and connection modifications may be required to suit your existing fuel system.

Carburetor Jetting & Tuning

The kit includes a selection of jets to help dial in your Norton using the recommended baseline calibration. Additional jetting adjustments may be necessary depending on your location, altitude, fuel quality, and individual engine configuration.

Factors affecting final carburetor tuning include:

There are three different Amal-style throttle housing configurations. Identifying your existing throttle assembly is necessary for supplying the correct throttle cable.
