• 1/4-turn quick-action throttle assembly with nylon-lined cable and low-profile 90° carb-end fitting.

Kit Options

• Air-Box Connection Kit (optional/add-on): Includes black anodized alloy sealing plate (riveted to OEM airbox face after cutting a larger central hole to replace twin ports), alloy flange, reinforced silicone pipe, and clamps for clean, sealed connection above the shock.

Important Installation Notes

• Throttle Cable Clearance Mod: The TM38 (and TM42 RH-control versions) requires a simple tank modification for the top/center-exit cable. A low-profile 90° fitting needs ~25mm clearance above the carb.
• Drain all fuel, then use a heat gun to slowly warm a broad area of the polyethylene tank until soft (~140°C; avoid shiny/melting surface—ensure full heat penetration).
• Gently depress with a broom handle to form a forward contoured channel.
• Cool evenly; material retains full strength if not over-thinned.
• Takes ~30 minutes with test fits; if unsure, have a professional do it (plastic tank specialist recommended).
• Note: TM40 pumper and TM42 LH-control versions typically clear without mod.
• Airbox/Pod Setup: For pod use, cut the front of the airbox to fit a large high-flow pod. Discuss airbox adapter options with us—some components from our Yamaha 600 Belgarda or 350 kits may adapt.
• Tuning: Climate, altitude, fuel, and engine mods affect final jetting. We include a practical range of jets for worldwide use. Follow standard Mikuni tuning procedures (plug reads, WOT tests) for optimal results.
