 This Push Pull Quick Action throttle and cable assembly is designed for use with Mikuni TM42 / HSR Roller Slide Pumper Carbs that feature 7’8″ handlebars. This high-quality throttle cable, intended for Mikuni Carburetors, includes a Nylon lined outer housing.

  The Nylon liner within the outer cable housing conduit serves to minimize friction and enhance heat resistance. The cables are equipped with mid-cable adjusters that provide 25mm of adjustment.

 The total length of the outer cable, measured from the end of the lower carb end ferrule to the elbow on the top curved plastic fittings, is 1000mm (1 meter-39 plus inches).

 For motorcycles with lower handlebars, these cables will route smoothly around the speedometer, and the additional length accommodates the installation of 2″ risers.

 A small spring located at the bottom of the return cable is used to apply a slight pre-load when the throttle is in the closed position, which also manages any slack in the inner wire as the rotor accelerates. It is essential to lubricate all throttle cables during installation using cable lube or a very light oil, such as 3 in 1, to prevent clogging. In addition to lubricating the inner wire within the housing, the cable end barrels at their pivot points should be treated with waterproof grease.

 If you need to clean your cable, which is particularly important for dirt bikes, we suggest using WD40 or a very light oil like 3 in 1. This method effectively removes dirt from the cable without causing any clogging.
