Mikuni Shovelhead and XL Sporty 1/2″ dropdown manifold.

 For Harley Davidson Shovelhead and XL 1000 Sportster models, a specially designed Mikuni 1/2" drop down manifold is available to improve tank clearance. 

 When using Mkuni HS40 carburetors, it is necessary to also purchase a KHS-004 rubber mounting flange for proper carb fitment. 

If using Mikuni HSR carburetors, in addition to the manifold, the corresponding HS42/018 rubber mounting flange and one of the TM42/51-LOW lowered throttle cable brackets are required for rockerbox oil line and improved tank clearance. 

For earlier models with the O-ring seal type manifold, an upgrade to the later system is necessary.

This upgrade involves purchasing a pair of band type seals and matching clamps for use with the new manifold.
